Gary Moore’s new recruit Mourilyan is unlikely to make his debut for the stable in the totesport Ebor later this month.

Former trainer John Oxx got a decent tune out of the colt from a stint in Dubai in the spring, winning two handicaps and finishing second in a Group Three.

He made one appearance for Herman Brown, when a close eighth in the Singapore Airlines International Cup, but has not appeared since May.

‘He’s doubtful - I don’t think he’s going to be fit in time,’ said Moore.

Mourilyan is currently top weight for the big York race on 20 August.
