Juddmonte International Option for Cat Junior
Brian Meehan is mulling over the possibility of running Cat Junior in the Juddmonte International at York later this month as the colt gears up for a first crack at a mile and a quarter.
A surprise package in the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot when fourth at a massive 66-1, the son of Storm Cat proved that run was no fluke when occupying the same position in the Prix Jean Prat.
Meehan said: “He came out of France well, and I was pleased with him that day as it confirmed his Royal Ascot run. We are going to hold on for the Juddmonte and see what is going to show up.”
