Repent Colt Stars at Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Show
A Repent colt turned in the fastest one-furlong breeze on Thursday during the second of two under-tack shows for the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic sale of two-year-olds in training, covering the distance in :09.80.
The two-day sale will be held May 19-20. Sale sessions start at 10 a.m. EDT at Timonium Sales Pavilion in Timonium, Maryland.
Raul Reyes’s King’s Equine, agent, consigns the Repent colt, who is a full brother to Grade 2 winner Crown of Thorns. The colt is out of the Thunder Gulch mare Crowning Touch, a half sister to 1997 champion sprinter and sire Smoke Glacken and multiple graded stakes winner Smokey Glacken.
A Lion Heart colt breezed two furlongs in :21, Thursday’s fastest quarter-mile clocking. Crupi’s New Castle Farm, agent, consigns the dark bay or brown colt, who is a half brother to multiple Grade 1 winner and sire Shossberg and multiple stakes winner and sire San Romano. He is out of the winning Balzac mare Bye the Bye.
A Yankee Gentleman filly turned in the fastest three-furlong clocking, covering the distance in :34.20. The bay filly is property of Double Knuck Stables, Mike Neatherlin, agent, and is out of the winning Cherokee Colony mare Cherokee Rain.
Hips one through 324 breezed on Wednesday, and will be offered on May 19. Hips 325 to 650 breezed on Thursday, and will be offered on May 20.
