The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced today that it will start making more advanced racing information available to racing fans, commencing from its upcoming race meeting at Sha Tin on 12 May 2008.

Through video cameras set up along the tracks at both racecourses capturing images of horses when they race past the designated sections, running position and sectional times for individual horses taking part in each race will be produced. This information will be available on the Club’s website www.hkjc.com within an hour after each race.

Executive Director of Racing William A Nader said this new service would be a useful asset to racing fans and form followers who were interested in analysing race pacing and tracking the performance of individual horses.

“This additional racing information will help our fans evaluate each horse’s previous performance in more detail when they are studying the racing form,” he explained.
