Arqana Appoints Dominique Boulard
Release
As part of the evolution of the company’s commercial organisation, Arqana has announced the arrival of Dominique Boulard who will take up a position as manager of the horses in training, breeze-up, store and purebred Arabian markets.
Boulard’s principal responsibility will be the composition of catalogues for sales at Saint Cloud. Freddy Powell, who is shortly to relocate to Great Britain in order to reinforce the presence of Arqana among its Anglo-Irish clientele, will work alongside Dominique Boulard on the construction of the breeze-up and store catalogues (April Sale, Summer Sale, Autumn Sale).
Dominique brings to the post a wealth of experience in the training sector. After beginning his career as assistant to François Boutin, he went on to manage the pre-training activity of the Haras de Quesnay. He then spent several seasons as retained trainer for owner Jean-Claude Seroul in southeast France before taking up the position of assistant to Christiane Head-Maarek in Chantilly. Latterly, Boulard has worked with Gérard Larrieu of Chantilly Bloodstock.
President of Arqana Eric Hoyeau, commented, “I am delighted to welcome Dominique to Arqana. He has exactly the right profile to accelerate the company’s development in the sectors of horses in training, stores and purebred Arabians. Dominique is an accomplished horseman whose rich and varied hands-on experience ensures an excellent knowledge of all the professionals in the business as well as the flat and jumping disciplines.
“His experience in the French Provinces is also an advantage when it comes to detecting quality horses to sell and therefore improving the attraction of our catalogues. Finally, Dominique’s collaboration with Chantilly Bloodstock has allowed him to develop a solid knowledge of the purebred Arabian market which Arqana intends to continue to develop in the years to come.”
