Giant’s Causeway Full-Brother to Arc En Ciel

GIANT’S CAUSEWAY’s full brother TIGER DANCE (Storm Cat – Mariah’s Storm by Rahy) and Champion 2yo and Classic placed SECOND EMPIRE (Fairy King – Welsh Love by Ela Mana Mou) will stand at Arc En Ciel from the 2008 breeding season onwards in a new long term arrangement.

Arc en Ciel and Oaklands, neighbours in the Wellington area have a well established relationship and are planning to work more closely together in the future. Plans are being made for the redevelopment of Oaklands Estate although its owners, the Timms family, are planning to remain very much involved in the SA bloodstock industry.

Arc En Ciel is the young stallions’ home now and they are already in residence having spent time at L’Ormarins, to whom all concerned are most grateful, in the immediate aftermath of the fire at Oaklands. Craig Carey looks forward to the 2008 season and beyond with TIGER DANCE and SECOND EMPIRE.

TIGER DANCE (Fee R 20,000) is following in the footsteps of his full brother, the sire described as the best young sire in the world. TIGER DANCE had a very solid first book of 67 mares in 2008 which should give him an excellent chance. Support for the horse in 2008 is already gathering pace and his fee is looking very competitive at this level of quality.

SECOND EMPIRE (Fee R 25,000) is doing the business steadily now and continues at the same fee as before. With a recent Gr.3 winner in Singapore and Stakes horses around the world and some nice yearlings at the recent sales, this high quality stallion is properly established and an excellent addition to the Arc En Ciel roster. His first juvenile to run in SA is a winner.

Allan Bloodlines, as syndicate manager for Tiger Dance and contributing marketing and promotion for both stallions, played a part in the new arrangements and will continue with its present tasks with the added benefit of having worked well with Arc En Ciel over a number of years. “This is an excellent step from all points of view with Craig and Paul both contributing extremely positively to the arrangements,” said David Allan. “The stallions are slotting straight into the Arc En Ciel routines and we shall all work together to maximise the performance of very exciting sires.”
