Silent Witness Dam to Sell at Easter Broodmare Sale
Release
The exciting additions to next week’s William Inglis Australian Easter Broodmare Sale keep coming, with news that Jade Tiara will be sold next Sunday, May 4.
The daughter of Bureaucracy shot to world prominence when her El Moxie son Silent Witness became the Champion Sprinter of the World.
In all, the Hong Kong idol Silent Witness won 18 races – including nine at Group 1 level – and more than $A9million in prizemoney.
Jade Tiara will be offered in foal to Australia’s leading stallion of 2007-08, Encosta De Lago.
“We’re thrilled to supplement a mare of this calibre to the Easter Broodmare catalogue,” William Inglis Bloodstock Director Jonathan D’Arcy said.
“She is the dam of the greatest sprinter of the last 20 years and is in foal to Encosta De Lago, who will be crowned Champion Australian Sire this season and whose progeny sold to $2.2million at this week’s Easter Yearling Sale.
“Jade Tiara would be a valuable addition to any broodmare band.”
Jade Tiara joins last year’s G1 AJC Oaks quinella Rena’s Lady and Perfect Drop as supplementary entries, along with the Paul Makin duo Ain’t Seen Nothin’ and Nobody Listens.
The quartet will be sold immediately prior to the Swettenham Stud Dispersal on Sunday May 4.
